A bloom in the void - Aimlessly (1)
Drifting on celestial tides yielding to the waves of unknown.
Hey there! A lot has happened since my last post.
Apparently, I have transcended my human form. Rising toward the sky, I have transformed into a space jellyfish.
How gross!
I have tentacles and a squishy bell; I’ve lost the use of my senses and the faculty of speech. However, I’ve discovered I am able to communicate through telepathy.
What you’re hearing is nothing more than my consciousness, which doesn’t seem to stop talking even now.
I am being drifted by gravitational tides and, slowly, I am reuniting with a colony of beings like myself which wander aimlessly through the universe.
I see them in the distance—a mass of mushy jellies, all letting themselves be carried together toward nothingness.
Soon I will be just like them, and I won’t even have the autonomy to choose which direction to go anymore.
Yet something draws me in, and once I reach the colony, I become part of it, introducing myself. I still have good manners.
There are former engineers, entrepreneurs, artists…
People who were all ‘somebody’ in life…
But it doesn’t matter anymore; jellyfish are all the same.
They don’t even talk, yet I keep asking telepathic questions to my new relatives (and I suspect they are ignoring me on purpose).
As I flow through the currents of this empty universe I wonder why I wanted to dive into this space-jellyfish adventure.
The truth is simple. I didn’t think about it too much; I just took the first step, and then one thing led to another.
I understand that you’re feeling a bit down—it happens.
But you must always remember that you’ve overcome much greater challenges, and you aren’t one of us yet.
Good news: you can still choose your own clothes.
That’s why I want to suggest you not think about the past, nor the previous month.
Think about the future, mindful of the fact that many phases of life are temporary. Some are just a bit stickier than others.
I truly feel I won’t be a jellyfish forever.
I will transcend into something else…
Let’s hope for a dragon.
Thanks for reading, love y’all.
Don’t be a jellyfish, speak your mind, I’m curious to hear:

Very beautiful. Thank you.🙏
Love that we lose the line between free will and determinism here. I can only imagine how loud that jellyfish cloud is. Great short piece :)
